Do I need a licence to rent this boat?
It depends on the boat — see the spec table at the top of this page. Boats marked "no licence" are legal for anyone over 18 to operate under Croatian law. Larger self-drive boats need either a recognised national boating licence, an ICC, or a successful video boat-handling test. If you don't have any of those, Rent Boat Dubrovnik can add a skipper — €50 per half-day, €70–€80 per full day depending on the boat.
Is fuel included?
No — fuel is charged per usage, on top of the rental price. Every boat departs with a full tank; at the end of your day we measure what you've used and you pay only that, at the marina pump rate (currently €1.95/litre). You pay for exactly what you burn — no flat surcharge, no surprise top-up fees.
Where exactly do we meet?
Marina Frapa Dubrovnik, Lapadska obala 21a — the Rent Boat Dubrovnik kiosk on the main pier. We send you a pinned Google Maps location 24 hours before your trip with your skipper's phone number and the exact pier number.
What if the weather is bad?
We cancel proactively and refund 100% if the Croatian Hydrographic Institute issues a Bora warning above 25kn or sea-state above 1.5m. If you cancel for weather inside 24 hours we rebook you free into the next available slot. We never push you out in unsafe conditions just to keep the booking.
